Wheretodapao X Hawker Wars
Conceptualisation, Artwork
Where to Dapao (WTDP) is a grassroots initiative started by sisters, Jocelyn, Jasmine and Jacquelyn, in the pandemic, as hawker’s livelihoods were severely impacted during Singapore’s Phase 2 Heightened Alert. Their goal was to drive awareness of the stories of these elderly hawkers and to encourage Singaporeans to head down and show our support for our hawkers.
What we did: We thought Where to Dapao was such a meaningful project and we wanted to show our support:
Featured Hawker Decal: While where to Dapao had a great online presence, we wanted to provide a way for customers to recognize these hawkers when they visited the Hawker center in person. We created an eye-catching decal leveraging on the artwork from our newly launched card game, Hawker Wars, for the featured hawkers to include on their store-front.
Support Badges: WTDP also ran live and group buy initiatives to provide an easy way for Singaporeans to support the local hawkers. We wanted to provide an avenue for customers to show a token of support that would directly benefit these hawkers. We created and produced a badge featuring artwork from Hawker Wars that would be given to each customer who made a contribution to the Hawkers. 100% of proceeds went directly to the Hawkers.
